US SOCCER CELEBRATES IT'S CENTENNIAL (100 YEARS)!

USSF Invite

The weekend of June 1 & 2 is the big celebration for US Soccer's Centennial (100 years)!

To celebrate they are having a big gala at the National Building Museum on Saturday and the Men's National Team are playing Germany in Washington DC at 2:30 on Sunday! Should be a good match! Go to ESPN2 to view!

Plus, the US Women play our not-to-friendly (remember the Women's World Cup semi-final last year?!) neighbors to the north at 4:30! It's a special weekend for US Soccer. Check out more information about US Soccer's rich history at THE US SOCCER WEBSITE!

Soccer is an American game...it's been here for over 100 years! From the textile teams from Kearny, NJ to Philadelphia PA. From the Mill teams from up north in Lowell, Mass to Baltimore, Maryland and across to St. Louis...America always had the GAME!

SHUTTING OFF THE FIELD LIGHTS @HTRSA COMPLEX!

Hotshot-celebrateZ60pct

Attention Coaches that practice & play at night!

When using the lights on the lower field, ***DO NOT TURN OFF*** the MAIN BREAKER.

If you switch off the main, it kills the HEATER, the WATER SOFTENER, the PHONE, the WELL PUMPS, the FIELD IRRIGATION PUMP, and the TIMER for the lights which is not good.

The main break did have a note "DO NOT TOUCH MAIN" but that was not understood. Carl has now surrounded it with blue painter's tape to help anyone further understand which one is the main breaker to not touch.

At the same time though don't exit the Complex without turning the field lights OFF! The cost is around $11 an hour per pole! Money that is better spent elsewhere.

CONCUSSION TRAINING REQUIRED!

tyler

Whether you are a travel coach or a recreation coach, you MUST go through the CDC Heads Up Concussion training.

All youth Coaches in all sports in New Jersey are required to take this course. With the growing epidemic of concussions in both youth and pro sports it is important that coaches recognize and understand how serious this is and know what to do should this happen to a player on your team or at the field.

Print out the certificate when you have finished taking this short online course and provide a copy to the Travel Director.
